Updates on Metastatic Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in American men, with an estimated 268,490 new cases in 2022 and is the 2nd leading cause of cancer related death. During this webcast, expert faculty will discuss new theranostic data, novel therapies, and important patient considerations for the optimization of metastatic hormone sensitive and metastatic castrate resistant prostate cancer treatment.

Target Audience

This CME initiative was designed for oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, NPs, PAs, pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of patients with cancer.

Learning Objectives

1. Define metastatic hormone sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) and metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC)
2. Discuss both clinical and patient considerations in the selection of treatment options for mHSPC, and how to optimize sequencing of current treatment options for mCRPC
3. Describe new data with theranostics and updates on PARP inhibitors in mCRPC

Judy Ko, APRN

Judy Ko was born and raised in New York City. She graduated from Long Island University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her first nursing position was for 2 years on an oncology medical surgical unit at Memorial Sloan Kettering before moving to Hawaii. Judy's oncology career continued as an inpatient oncology/telemetry/ICU RN with Queens Medical Center for 10 years before she obtained her advanced practitioner degree with the University of Hawaii. Since matriculation, she has been fortunate to work with great providers at Hawaii Cancer Care, a community oncology clinic for the past 5 years.
