Building Capacity for Bispecific Antibodies in Community Cancer Centers: Creating a Road Map for Implementation in the Outpatient Setting
Overview
Bispecific antibodies are improving outcomes for patients with cancer, yet many centers do not have the infrastructure needed to deliver these therapies safely and consistently. This 2-hour accredited program will provide your multidisciplinary team with practical tools and processes to support implementation. A designated champion from your own center will help adapt the agenda and discussions to your team's priorities.
Through interactive presentations, case-based scenarios, and faculty panel discussions, participants will explore the steps needed to initiate the process and build the care models, protocols, and safety pathways tailored to your center's resources and patient population. Learners will leave with a clearer understanding of the path to implementation, the immediate next steps, and the common pitfalls to anticipate and avoid.
Learning Objectives
- Evaluate available clinical trial data and emerging real-world evidence supporting the efficacy and safety of bispecific antibody therapy across multiple myeloma, lymphoma, and select solid tumors
- Apply evidence-based strategies to mitigate and manage treatment-related adverse events with bispecific antibody therapy
- Discuss key components of outpatient clinic infrastructure—including workflow design, multidisciplinary coordination, safety readiness, and patient/caregiver education—needed to implement bispecific antibody therapy programs in community cancer centers
- Explain practical considerations for patient identification, education, and transition of care that enable successful outpatient implementation of bispecific antibody programs
Target Audience
This activity is intended for hematologists, oncologists, hematology/oncology advanced practice providers (NPs, PA, pharmacists and nurses), and practice administrators working in community cancer centers and/or outpatient clinics.
