Alice Meyer, PA-C

Alice Meyer has been a Physician Assistant for 10 years where she has primarily worked in the Urgent/Emergent Care space with cancer patients. She started out in Emergency Medicine at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater and then branched into Oncological Emergency Medicine at Moffitt Cancer Center where she ran the Rapid Response Team while simultaneously working with both the Inpatient Hospitalist Team and the Moffitt Urgent Care (previously known as the Direct Referral Center).  She also had the opportunity to be the sole provider over the Moffitt Chemotherapy Infusion Center, handling all reactions and urgent medical issues during her time at Moffitt.  She now works at Mayo Clinic Florida, in Jacksonville, and assisted with the start-up of an Acute Care Clinic for Hematology/Oncology patients with the goal of preventing unnecessary ED and hospital admissions and decreasing morbidity/mortality.  While seeing patients in clinic, she also covers the chemotherapy infusion center and manages all reactions. She regularly precepts APP students and helps with onboarding new hires.
