Overview

In this certified, on-demand webcast we discuss the intersection of quality- and value-based care in oncology. This program will review the impact of quality and value in our day-to-day service of patients through discussing the history of payment models, current methodologies, and opportunities to continue providing high-quality patient care.

Learning Objectives

  1. Summarize the transition from fee-for-service (FFS) to value-based care (VBC)
  2. Discuss types of value-based care and the impact of future payment systems
  3. Identify areas of impact of value-based care in oncology globally as well as novel opportunities across the oncology network

Target Audience

This activity is intended for oncology nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and other healthcare providers involved in the care of cancer patients.

Anne Marie F. Rainey, MSN, RN, CHC, CPHQ (Speaker)

Anne Marie Rainey is the Director of Quality and Value-Based Care for the American Oncology Network. She manages internal quality, government, and value-based care programs. She has experience in government quality reporting as a contractor for Centers for Medicare and Medicare Services and Centers for Disease Control. After obtaining her MSN in leadership and administration, Anne Marie transitioned to community oncology, where she has spent most of her career.

Her work interests include quality metrics analysis, program implementation, health policy, and community oncology advocacy. Anne Marie has several publications about implementation of value-based care initiatives, including Oncology Care Model, and has participated in speaking engagements sharing learnings. She has the privilege of serving on several boards, committees, and task forces with Association of Community Cancer Centers and Community Oncology Alliance to promote best practices and positive impact to community oncology. Anne Marie resides in Alabama with her husband, twins, and dog. She loves volunteering, is an avid college football fan and enjoys traveling.
